Well Maintained Stamas 310 Express with twin Yanmar diesels! with 230 HP each !!

This 1996 STAMAS 31 is an amazing fishing / cruising vessel.

The Stamas 310 Express was designed for the avid fisherman looking for a well-built boat with traditional styling that never goes out of favor.

The 310 combines a roomy fishing cockpit with a well-appointed cabin that is perfect for overnights.

A large, low maintenance cockpit accommodates up to six comfortably and offers standard features like a swim platform and ladder, transom fish box, rod holders, insulated bait well, and overboard draining live well.

The removable transom seat frees up cockpit space when needed, and wide sid.

Sleeping Capacity: 4
# of Berths: 2

If you ask what do I think of the boat I will say: She has traveled for 2 days on the water from Boston MA. to Somerset MA. dock. She needs a good cleaning and some TLC, a great bargain.

Delivery Captain's comments:

With less then 1800 hrs. engines started and warmed well idling smoothly. Though the belts need adjustment both alternators worked charging the batteries up to 13 volts. Both transmissions shifted from forward and reverse well. For the entire 2-day trip both Port & Starboard. Engines had oil pressure between 50 and 60 PSI . Coolant temperature between 160 and 170* f .

Tachometers fluctuated . Port tach seemed more accurate at first neither engine wanted to go over 2000 RPM after adding fresh fuel both engines started running better Port engine went up to 2500RPM.. No Blue smoke and at the end of the trip over a 100 nautical miles both dipsticks read approximately the same as when we started. It does not appear to be using oil. Black smoke indicating air intake starving or Rich mixture. I held one of the hatches open to see if it had a restriction of air intake. Still the same the fact that it fluctuated a few times and the RPMs came up . Speedway went up to about 16 knots seems indicative of maybe a stuck wastegate or other intake or turbo issue that is starting to clear up but needs attention.. I have enclosed a photograph of one of the motor mounts that is rusted they need to be replaced. I usually replace with stainless steel ones. A nice feature are the Racor remote vacuum fuel filter gauges they are mounted next to the two fire extinguishers left of the console. They operated at normal indicating the filters are not clogged. The starboard engine did use more fuel, I would check boost pressure definitely on that side. Throttle maxed out with lever 2/3 open any further didn't make a difference. The props are also loaded up and need to be cleaned which would cause drag.

Though they are dated all electronics worked including GPS chartplotter, radar, VHF radio ,autopilot and Anchor windlass .The head flushed liquid the only thing I could not seem to get to function was the trim tabs as seen in one of the pictures. Although there might be another switch somewhere for this. As I found the cigarette lighter 12 volt outlet would not function until the dash panel lights were turned on. The shaft packing does need adjustment especially on the STB.

I have to agree with the harbormaster when I fueled in Sandwich, stating that it didn't look bad and would clean up and make a nice fishing boat. As Stamas reputation the boat did handle quite well in the over 6 ft seas of Buzzards bay.
